Marian University Fourth in 2024-25 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings Following Fall Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings for Divisions I, II, III and the NAIA were announced on Monday, December 23, with the Marian Knights holding fourth place in the NAIA leaderboard. 

Stanford (DI – 413.00), Grand Valley State (DII – 331.00 total points), Johns Hopkins (DIII – 495.50 total points) and Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA – 435.50 total points) sitting in first of their respective divisions. 

The final fall NAIA standings have Cumberlands (KY) in second with 330.50 points, College of Idaho in third with 319.00 points and in fourth is Marian with 296.00 points. Rounding out the top five is The Master's with 280.00 points.

Marian scored in five of the six fall sports in the 2024 fall standings, with volleyball, women's soccer and cross country, and men's soccer and cross country adding to the Knights' yearly total. The Knights scored 67.5 points in men's cross country (10th place), 64.5 points in women's cross country (12th place), 64 points in women's soccer (9th place), and 50 points each in both volleyball and men's soccer (17th place).

13 teams can score for a universities yearly total, four of which mus include men's and women's basketball, men's soccer, and volleyball. 

All 10 members of the Crossroads League scored in the fall season, and all 10 rank in the top 100, with the minimum total points being 25. Indiana Wesleyan, Marian, Spring Arbor, Taylor, and Grace are all in the top-25. 

The updated standings to reflect winter sports will be released in late-March to early-April.
