O'Fallon, Ill. - The Marian men's bowling team finished fourth over the weekend at the Collegiate Team Match Games, hosted by McKendree University. The Knights were led by
Hayden Fowler in the individual portion of the weekend.
Marian totaled an 8216 team score between baker games and five individual games, which was good for eighth place overall in the final standings. Marian would qualify for the bracket matches with their eighth place effort, and eventually finished fourth overall following the bracket play on Sunday.
The Knights finished 10 pins behind Wartburg for seventh in the qualifying standings. Purdue University won the tournament with an 8577 total.
Hayden Fowler was the individual leader for Marian, finishing 21st overall with a 1078 total in five games. Fowler bowled a top game of 247 pins, and for the five games, he averaged 215.6 pins per game.
Cayleb Carey bowled five games and struck 1004 pins in total, while
Jacob Neubauer bowled a 972 over five games.
Ryan Carpenter (575),
Carley Shrader (571), and
Kyle Toyias (535) each bowled three games, and
Jordan Bauerle bowled one individual game, logging a 158.
Marian will next compete on December 5 and 6 in the first two Crossroads League matches of the year.
