Men's Bowling

Men's Bowling Finishes Top-10 at Kegel ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic

ADDISON, ILL. - The Marian men's bowling team finished the weekend with an eighth-place finish at the Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic. The Knights knocked down a total of 5306 pins, and individually, they were led by Jacob Neubauer.

Calumet College of St. Joseph took home first place with 8962 pins knocked down, while Wisconsin-Whitewater finished in second with a total of 8947. Mount Mercy, Saint Ambrose, and Lawrence Tech rounded out the top-5. Other Crossroads League teams included Huntington University, which finished 28th, and Goshen, which finished 47th.

Jacob Neubauer led the way, placing in 23rd, bowling in all five games, knocking down 1102. Neubauer bowled a game high of 247 in game two. Cayleb Carey was close behind, finishing 27th, bowling all five games, knocking down a total of 1093 pins with a game high of 266 in game four. Hayden Fowler finished in 40th place, also bowling in all five games, recording a total of 1076 with a game high of 254 in game two. Ryan Carpenter was the final Knight to bowl in five games, totaling 1041, bowling a game high of 268 in game two and placing in 66th.

Jordan Bauerle bowled in two games, recording a total of 476 with a game high of 263. Braden Kidd also bowled in two games, recording a total of 382, tabbing a game high of 210 in game two. Kyle Toyias bowled in one game, recording a 136 in game one. 

Marian will be back in action as they host the Crossroads League Meet 3 on Saturday, January 24th, at Western Bowl.
