Indianapolis, Ind. - The Marian men's bowling team finished the regular season hosting the Hoosier Classic over the weekend. The Knights finished in 14th out of the 78 teams in attendance, with Jordan Baurele leading the way, finishing 33rd.
Marian bowled a total of 4943 before Baker games and an overall total of 7870 in the end. Wichita State University came in first with a total of 8510, while Aquinas College came in second, and McKendree University rounded out the top three. Out of the Crossroads League teams that were in attendance, Mount Vernon came in 51st, Huntington came in 54th, and Grace came in 70th.
Jordan Baurele led the Knights to a 13th-place finish with his individual 33rd-place efforts. Baurele recorded a total of 1078 and bowled a game high of 228 in game three.
Jacob Neubauer was the next to finish in 161st place, bowling in all five games. Neubauer bowled a total of 964, bowling a game high of 221 in game two.
Hayden Fowler was the next to finish in 167th place with a total of 958 and bowling a game high of 227 in game four.
Cayleb Carey finished closely behind in 169th place, bowling a 956 with a game high of 232 in game three.
Ryan Carpenter bowled in four games, recording a total of 800 and a game high of 229 in game three.
Caden Lester was the final Knight to bowl in the Hoosier Classic, recording a 187 in the sole game he bowled.
The Knights will be back in action on March 14th and 15th as they compete in the USBC ITC Sectionals on the road.
