WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. - The Marian women's golf team closes out its season opener, finishing tied for second overall in the Wildcat Fall Invite, hosted at Purdue University. 

The Knights finished tied for second with Dalton State at 908 (304-306-298); SCAD Savannah led with a 906 (307-302-297). Other Crossroads League schools were in attendance, with Indiana Wesleyan finishing fourth and Taylor finishing sixth. 

Miley Kennard led the way, finishing tied for fourth with a 70 in the final round, two strokes under par. Kennard also recorded five birdies throughout the round. Emma Weiler was the next to finish for Marian, placing 16th with a score of 77 in round three, tallying one birdie. Jordan Adam was close behind, finishing tied for 17th with a score of 74 in round three, recording four birdies in the round. Hailey Kirkland finished 21st with a score of 77, tallying a pair of birdies in the round. Marian Kennard rounded out the team score, finishing tied for 34th with a round score of 79, tallying one birdie in round three. Competing individually, Alex Reschly finished tied for fourth with a round score of 73 and tallied four birdies. 

The Knights will be back in action on September 14th and 15th as they travel to Keiser to compete in the Keiser Seahawks Shootout.
