2024-25 Season:

  • At the NAIA Indoor National Championship he led five to qualify (men's shot put, 2x men's weight throw, 2x women's weight throw). One earned All-American Honors and an NAIA Individual National Championship (men's weight throw). He also helped lead the men's team to the first NAIA National Championship for the program. At the NAIA Outdoor National Championship six events qualified (men's shot put, men's discus, men's hammer, women's shot put, 2x women's discus). Three of the events earned All-American Honors (men's shot put, men's discus, men's hammer).
  • During the Indoor season Dyer coached seven All-Crossroads League Honorees (2x men's shot put, 2x men's weight throw, women's shot put, 2x women's weight throw). Three out of the seven earned the Crossroads League Indoor Individual Championship (men's shot put, men's weight throw, women's weight throw). Coming off an outstanding indoor season Dyer led the throwers to nine All-Crossroads League Honors (2x men's shot put, 2x men's discus, 3x men's hammer, women's discus, women's hammer). Five out of the nine athletes earned a Crossroads League Individual Championship (men's shot put, men's discus, men's hammer, women's discus, women's hammer).
  • In his fourth season he coached the Crossroads League Male Athlete of the Year earning the program the second consecutive honor.

2023-24 Season:

  • In Dyer's third season with Marian he was named the USTFCCCA National Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2023-24 season coaching the throwers to a No.1 national event squad rankings in three different events (shot put, discus, and hammer). 
  • At the NAIA Indoor National Championships 11 events qualified (3x men's shot put, 4x men's weight throw, women's shot put, 3x women's weight throw). He coached four to earn All-American Honors (men's shot put, men's weight throw, women's shot put, women's weight throw). He led the Knights to a full sweep of NAIA Individual National Championships on both the women's and men's side, earning four (men's shot put, men's weight throw, women's shot put, women's weight throw).
  • Bouncing off an outstanding indoor National Championship, Dyer led 12 events to qualify for the NAIA Outdoor National Championship (3x men's shot put, 3x men's discus, 2x men's hammer, women's shot put, 2x women's discus, women's hammer). Six of those events earned All-American Honors (men's shot put, 2x men's discus, 2x men's hammer, women's shot put). While one was named NAIA Individual National Champions (men's discus).
  • He coached 16 All-Crossroads League event honors (2x men's shot put indoor, 2x men's shot put outdoor, 3x men's weight throw, 2x men's discus, 3x men's hammer, women's shot put indoor, women's weight throw, women's discus, women's hammer). He also led the men to another full sweep of Individual Crossroads League Championships, earning nine honors (men's shot put indoor, men's shot put outdoor, men's weight throw, men's discus, men's hammer, women's shot put, women's weight throw, women's discus, women's hammer).
  • Coached the Crossroads League Male Athlete of the Year to earn the men's program their first honor.

2022-23 Season

  • Dyer led 16 events to qualify for the Indoor and Outdoor NAIA National Championships (2x men's shot put indoor, 2x men's shot put outdoor, 3x men's weight throw, 2x men's discus, 2x men's hammer, women's shot put indoor, women's shot put outdoor, women's weight throw, women's discus, women's hammer). 10 earned All-American Honors (2x men's shot put indoor, 2x men's shot put outdoor, men's weight throw, 2x men's hammer, women's shot put outdoor, women's weight throw, women's discus).
  • In his second season at Marian he led 14 events to All-Crossroads League Honors (2x men's shot put indoor, 2x men's shot put outdoor, 2x men's weight throw, 2x men's discus, 2x men's hammer, women's shot put indoor, women's shot put outdoor, women's weight throw, women's hammer). While seven events earned an Individual Crossroads League Championship sweeping the entire men's side in both indoor and outdoor (men's shot put indoor, men's shot put outdoor, men's weight throw, men's discus, men's hammer, women's weight throw, women's hammer).

2021-22 Season:

  • At the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships he led 16 National Qualifying events (2x men's shot put indoor, 2x men's shot put outdoor, 2x men's weight throw, 3x men's discus, men's hammer, women's shot put indoor, women's shot put outdoor, women's weight throw, women's discus, 2x women's hammer). While 5 earned All-American Honors (men's shot put indoor, men's discus, women's shot put outdoor, women's discus, women's hammer,). And one earned an NAIA Individual National Championship (women's shot put outdoor).
  • In Dyer's first season with Marian he led the throwers to 13 All-Crossroads League Honors (men's shot put indoor, 2x men's shot put outdoor, 2x men's weight throw, 2x men's discus, men's hammer, women's shot put indoor, women's shot put outdoor, 2x women's weight throw, women's discus). He coached two athletes to win five Individual Crossroads League Championships (men's discus, women's shot put indoor, women's shot put outdoor, women's weight throw).

Previous to Marian:

  • Before Marian, Nathan spent the last two seasons as a volunteer throws coach at Southern Illinois University- Carbondale under the helm of JC Lambert and Olympian Deanna Price-Lambert. During that time at SIUC, the Saluki men and women were ranked in the top 10 out of all Division 1 schools in the Shot Put and Weight Throw in 2019. The Saluki men and women went on to score 21 points and 33 points respectively at the 2020 Indoor MVC Championships. Also, claiming both men and women weight throw titles.
  • Before getting into the coaching world, Nathan Dyer was a hammer and weight thrower for SIUC. During his time there, Nathan was a two-time runner-up in the hammer throw at the MVC Championships and a two-time Division 1 West Regional Qualifier. Nathan’s personal best was 63.13m in the hammer throw and 18.53m in the weight throw.
  • Nathan is from Virgil, Illinois and he went to Kaneland High School. He was a two-sport athlete all through school in football and track and field.
