2025-26 Track & Field Season:

  • Named the USTFCCCA Indoor Women's Assistant Coach of the Year. He was also named the Indoor and Outdoor Great Lakes Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year. On the men's side, he was named the Outdoor Great Lakes Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2025-26 season.
  • Martin helped lead both the men's and women's USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Track Athletes of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. His athletes also earned both the men's and women's National Track Athlete of the Year honors.
  • He finished off his fourth season with the Knights at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships, where he led one event to earn an individual National Championship (men's 4x800m relay). He had 12 events qualify (3x men's 800m, women's 800m, 2x men's 1500m, 3x women's 1500m, men's 3000m steeplechase, men's 4x800m relay, women's 4x800m relay). Six out of the 12 events qualified earned All-American Honors (men's 800m, men's 1500m, 2x women's 1500m, men's 4x800m relay, women's 4x800m relay). He helped lead the women's team to an overall sixth-place finish and the men to a fourth-place finish overall to end the year.
  • During the NAIA Indoor National Championships, he led five events to earn an Individual National Championship (women's 1000m, men's mile, men's indoor 4x800m relay, men's DMR, women's DMR). As well as the men's 4x800m relay earning the NAIA Most Outstanding Performance honor, and Katie Woods earning the honor of NAIA MVP at the meet. He had 11 events qualify for Nationals (men's 800m, 3x women's 1000m, men's mile, women's mile, men's 3000m, men's 4x800m relay, women's 4x800m relay, men's DMR, women's DMR). Eight out of the 11 events earned All-American Honors (men's 800m, 2x women's 1000m, men's mile, women's mile, men's 4x800m relay, men's DMR, women's DMR). He also helped to lead the women to their first NAIA Indoor National Championship and the men to their second consecutive National Championship.
  • During both the indoor and outdoor Crossroads League Championships, he had 15 events earn All-Crossroads League Honors (2x men's indoor 800m, women's indoor 800m, men's outdoor 800m, women's outdoor 800m, 2x women's indoor 1000m, 2x men's 1500m, women's 1500m, men's 3000m steeplechase, women's outdoor 5000m, men's indoor 4x800m relay, women's indoor 4x800m relay, men's outdoor 4x800m relay, women's outdoor 4x800m relay). Eight out of the 15 earned a Crossroads League Individual Championship (men's indoor 800m, women's indoor 800m, women's 1000m, men's 1500m, women's 1500m, men's 3000m steeplechase, women's indoor 4x800m relay, women's outdoor 4x800m relay).

2025 Cross Country Season:

  • In his second season as the Cross Country head coach, he led the Knights to a sixth-place finish on the women's side and a 15th-place finish on the men's side nationally. He also led one athlete on the women's side to earn All-American Honors.
  • In the Crossroads League Championships, he led the Knights to a third-place finish for the women and a fifth-place finish for the men. The women's team earned two All-Crossroads League honors while the men earned one.

2024-25 Track & Field Season:

  • Named the USTFCCCA Indoor and Outdoor Great Lakes Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year.
  • At the Indoor and Outdoor NAIA National Championships Martin coached 21 National Qualifiers (2x men's 800m indoor, 3x men's 800m outdoor, 2x men's 1000m, 3x men's 1500m, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m indoor, women's 800m outdoor, 2x women's 1000m, women's 1500m, women's mile, women's 4x800 indoor, women's 4x800m outdoor, women's DMR). Seven of his athletes earned an NAIA Individual National Championship (men's DMR). While 15 earned All-American Honors (men's 800m indoor, men's mile, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 800m outdoor, 2x men's 1500m, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m indoor, women's 1000m, women's 1500m, women's mile, women's 4x800m indoor, women's 4x800m outdoor).
  • In Martin's third season as the distance coach for track he coached 24 All-Crossroads League athletes (2x men's 800m indoor, men's 1000m, men's 1500m, men's 5000m indoor, men's 10000m, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m indoor, women's 800m outdoor, 2x women's 1000m, women's 1500m, women's mile, women's 4x800 indoor, women's 4x800m outdoor, women's DMR). 15 of the 24 athletes were crowned the Crossroads League Champions (men's 800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m indoor, women's 1000m, women's 1500m, women's mile, women's 4x800m outdoor, women's DMR).

2024 Cross Country Season:

  • At the Cross Country NAIA National Championships, Martin led the men's team to finish in 10th overall and recorded two All-American Honors. Martin led the Women's team to a 12th-place finish overall and recorded one All-American honor with a program-high finish of third place individually.
  • In his first season as the Cross Country Head Coach, Martin led the men's team to their highest placement since the 2018 season in the Crossroads League Championship, finishing fourth overall. He coached three athletes to earn All-Crossroads League honors in the meet, as well as qualifying for the NAIA National Championships as a team for the first time in program history. 
  • Martin led the women's team to a fourth-place finish overall at the Crossroads League Cross Country Championships. He coached one athlete to an All-Crossroads League honor with a second-place finish overall, as well as qualifying for the Cross Country NAIA National Championships as a team for the first time in program history.

2023-24 Track & Field Season:

  • At the NAIA National Championships Martin had coached 14 qualifying events (men's 800m outdoor, men's 1000m, men's mile, men's 5000m, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m outdoor, 2x women's 1000m, women's 10,000m, women's 4x800 indoor, women's 4x800m outdoor). Nine of Martin's athletes earned NAIA All-American honors (men's 800m outdoor, men's 1000m, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m outdoor, women's 1000m, women's 4x800 indoor, women's 4x800m outdoor).
  • In his second season as the distance coach Martin led nine athletes to All-Crossroads League honors (men's 800m outdoor, men's 1000m, men's DMR, women's 800m indoor, women's 800m outdoor, women's 1000m, women's 1500m, women's 4x800m indoor, women's 4x800m outdoor), six of those events earned the Crossroads League Champion honor (men's 800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 1000m, women's 1500m, women's 4x800m indoor). 

2023 Cross Country Season:

  • In Martin's second year as an assistant coach for the Cross Country team on the men's side, the Knights finished in sixth place overall and one All-Crossroads League honor. The women's team finished the year off in seventh place at the Crossroads League Championship.

2022-23 Track & Field Season:

  • During his first indoor season as the distance coach Martin had coached six All-Crossroads League Athletes (men's 800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 800m indoor, women's 5000m outdoor, women's 10,000m outdoor) and eight National Qualifiers (2x men's 800m indoor, 2x men's 1000m, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor, men's DMR, women's 5000m indoor, women's DMR). Out of those National Qualifiers, three earned All-American honors (men's 800m indoor, men's 4x800m indoor, men's 4x800m outdoor).

2022 Cross Country Season:

  • In his first season as an assistant coach for Cross Country, Martin helped lead the men's team to a seventh-place finish at the Crossroads League Championships. He helped to coach one athlete to an All-Crossroads League honor and an All-American Honor at the NAIA National Championships.
  • On the women's side, Martin helped to coach the Knights to a seventh-place finish and one All-Crossroads League honor.

Prior to Marian Coaching:

  • Martin is from Avon, Indiana, and went to Avon High School. Martin graduated from MU in 2018 with a degree in Marketing and earned his MBA from Anderson University, where he previously served as the Director of Admissions and an Assistant Coach for Track & Field and Cross Country. 
  • During his time as an athlete at MU, Martin was a 9-time NAIA All-American and the 2017 National Champion in the 800 meters as well as the MU school record holder in the 800m and 1500m. Martin holds personal-best times of 1:49.20 in the 800m and 4:04.40 in the mile. 
  • Martin is an MU alum and, in addition to his coaching role, serves as a faculty member in the Byrum School of Business.
