Dan Stanjevich was named the Marian women's golf head coach Aug. 13, 2018. Stanjevich spent the previous four seasons as an assistant for the Knights.
Stanjevich entered his seventh season as the Marian head coach in the 2024-2025 season. Stanjevich led the Knights to a successful season as the women's head golf coach. The Knights finished third in the Crossroads League Championship, punching their third consecutive ticket to the NAIA Championship. At the NAIA National Championship, Stanjevich and the Knights ended the season with a program-record third place finish. Six Knights earned All-Crossroads League honors under Stanjevich in the 2024-25 season. Emma Weiler, MacKendzie Dresbaugh, Keara Eder, Jordan Adam, and Hailey Kirkland earned a spot on the All-CL First Team and Maria Kennard earned Honorable Mention honors. Stanjevich had a program best, three NAIA All-Americans honors, with Emma Weiler earning her spot on the first team, MacKendzie Dresbaugh earned second team honors, and Keara Eder earned third team honors to round out the Knights.
In 2022-23, Stanjevich guided Marian in capturing the 2023 Crossroads League Championships Title, punching a ticket to the NAIA National Championships.
Six Knights earned All-Crossroads League honors under Stanjevich in the 2022-23 season, while Stanjevic was named the Coach of the Year. MacKendzie Dresbaugh was the league champion, earning her a spot on the All-CL First Team, while Sidney Parmer joined her. Elizabeth Hedrick, Ava Hedrick, and Keara Eder all earned Honorable Mention honors.
Stanjevich had three players earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in the 2022-23 year.
In his third season as head coach, Stanjevich returned the program back to it's high level of competition, leading Marian to the NAIA National Championship for the sixth time in program history in 2020-21. Stanjevich earned two wins in his second season, and led Marian to a fourth place finish at the Crossroads League Championship before finishing 18th at the NAIA Championship. Macy Stapp finished 67th as an individual, becoming the first Knight under Stanjevich and second overall to play at the championship as an individual. Four Knights earned All-Crossroads League honors under Stanjevich's leadership in 2020-21.
In his second season saw growth begin to show with a young team, placing eighth or better in each event of the season. Marian earned one second place team finish in 2019-20 under Stanjevich, and had a strong start to the spring before the COVID-19 Pandemic ended the season.
In year one had a strong year, earning third or better in six events. Stanjevich earned his first tournament championship as head coach in the second outing of the year, with Marian winning the Benedictine Invitational. The Knights also won the Lindenwood-Belleville Invite in year one, and ended the year with a fifth place finish at the Crossroads League Championship.
During his four years as an assistant coach for the Knights, Marian won the 2014-15 Crossroads League Championship and made two appearances as NAIA Nationals. Last season, the Knights received an at-large berth to nationals. In his role as assistant coach, Stanjevich developed the golfers, recruited future players, managed tournament planning and executed overall team development.
