Haylea Sorrell

2025-26:

  • Sorrell was the main media coverage for Men's and Women's track and field during the Indoor and Outdoor Crossroads League Championships as well as the Outdoor National Championship.
  • During her second year at Marian, she continued to help host opening rounds including women's basketball. She also traveled to Sioux City, Iowa for the Women's Basketball NAIA National Championship Final Site and Mobile, Alabama for the Women's Tennis NAIA National Championships.

2024-25:

  • In her first year as the Assistant SID she helped host multiple opening rounds including softball, women's basketball, women's soccer, and volleyball. She also traveled with the track and field team for both of their Crossroads League Championships as well as volleyball during their Crossroads League Tournament final match and Women's Golf's CL Championships. Sorrell also was able to travel to Sioux City, Iowa with volleyball for the NAIA National Tournament Final Site as well as Marion, Ind. for outdoor track and field's NAIA National Championship.
  • She was apart of the media team that traveled to Indiana University to cover the Men's Basketball team and was the main photographer for the Knights.
  • In her first year with the Knights she focused on Women's Basketball, Women's & Men's Soccer, Softball, Men's & Women's Tennis, Women's Golf, and Men's and Women's Track and Field.
  • Haylea Sorrell joined the Marian Athletics Department on February 12, 2024, and serves as the Assistant Sports Information Director

Previous Experience:

  • Haylea graduated from the University of Saint Francis, Indiana, in December of 2023.
  • While in undergrad, Sorrell was a member of the USF Athletics Creative and Communications Team, working as a student assistant in the athletics department. In her role she helped serve as a member of the stats crew for various sporting events at St. Francis. Haylea also helped create social media content for various teams, and in her final spring season assisting the office took on duties of writing press releases. 
  • Haylea graduated with her bachelor's degree in communication and also earned a minor in sports management.
  • She is originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Homestead High School where she swam varsity all four years as well as club from the ages 5-18. 
  • Sorrell currently resides in Greenwood, Indiana with her fiancé Robbie Hofferth and their two doodles Archie and Dolly.
