St. Charles, Mo. - The Marian men's rugby team suffered their third defeat of the 2021 15's season, losing on Friday night to Lindenwood University 46-17. Marian is now 4-3 overall this fall following the loss.

Lindenwood controlled the game and scored the first try of the night, commanding the game early in the first half. Marian would add a try and a kick in the first half, but were unable to keep the pace set by Lindenwood. Lindenwood added to their lead in the second half, sealing their win early in the period. 

Clay Peters and Daniel Reicke each scored a try for Marian, and Tommaso Lorenzetti came away with six points converting kicks. Eric Reed led Marian in tackles with 35. 

The Knights will finish their regular season on October 30 hosting Western Kentucky.
