Carr Finishes 5th as Knights Compete at Boilermaker Classic

Lafayette, Ind. - The Marian men's bowling team finished fourth over the weekend in the annual Boilermaker Classic. The Knights placed behind McKendree, Purdue, and Judson, while the JV team finished fifth as McKendree completed the sweep on the men's side. Connor Carr led all Marian bowlers as he finished fifth in the field, while Dylan Mollo led the varsity with an eighth place finish. 

Connor Carr led the Knights competing on the JV team, finishing fifth overall with a score of 1124. The sophomore averaged 225 pins per game and had a best game of 274, as he would earn tournament team honors and earn Crossroads League Bowler of the Week on Monday. Dylan Mollo led the varsity with an eighth place finish as he struck 1078 total pins, while Nicholas Archacki finished 17th with a 996 score. Alex Wiles placed 27th overall with a 949 total in five games, and from the JV team Marian had two others in the top-35 as Chad Burgess finished 28th and Dylan Anderson finished 31st.

Marian's varsity bowled a 4886 over the five games, and 3141 in the baker games to finish their fourth place outing with a total of 8027 pins. The Marian JV bolwed a 7227 combined score between the team and baker games. 

Marian will compete next weekend in Dayton, Ohio, as they play in the Raider Classic, hosted by Wright State on November 12 and 13.
