INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian women's track and field and cross country programs announced the signing of Elaina Herman on Wednesday morning, as the coaching staff finalized the signing of the Zionsville product. 

Elaina Herman ran both cross country and track for Zionsville High School, as the Eagle had a stellar career for both programs. In cross country, she helped Zionsville to a fourth-place finish as a freshman, earning the Freshman of the Year honor for the Eagles. Herman was a four-year letter-winner in cross country, and as a junior repeated her success as a freshman by qualifying for the state championship. Herman is also a multi-year letter-winner in track and field at Zionsville. 

Outside of athletics, Herman is involved in HOSA, Key Club, and the Boone County Boys and Girls Club. With the Boys and Girls Club, Elaina is a program coordinator.

Elaina Herman is the daughter of Paul and Emily Herman, and had has two siblings, Charlie and Maddie, and will run for the Knights beginning in the fall of 2024.
