JACKSON, Mich. - After turning in a pair of dominant performances at the Cactus Classic, the Crossroads League has named Brody Whitaker as their Player of the Week. The honor is the second for Whitaker this season, and the second in his career.

Whitaker averaged 26.5 points per game at the Cactus Classic, helping Marian to a pair of wins over teams out of the Frontier Conference. The junior poured in 28 points in a win over Providence, and followed with a 25-point outing in the Knights' upset win over No. 15 Rocky Mountain. For the weekend the Knights' leading scorer averaged 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor. 

Marian will return to action on December 30, as they close the 2023 calendar year at home against Rio Grande.
