INDIANAPOLIS – The Marian men's bowling team finished in 31st out of the 78-field team at the Hoosier Classic over the weekend. The Knights knocked down a total of 8602 pins, while Webber International took the tournament win with 9582 pins.
Chad Burgess led Marian individually, knocking down 1217 pins for a 79th place finish out of over 500 bowlers.
The Knights knocked down 2988 pins in the baker games after getting a score of 5614 in the individual games. Marian knocked down 252 pins in their 11th baker game, and eclipsed the 200-pin mark six times, and averaged 199.2 pins through the 15 games.
Burgess led the Knights with 1217 pin in his six games bowled, with a tournament average of 202.8. Next for Marian were
Dylan Mollo and
Alex Wiles, who scored rounds of 1164 and 1138, respectively.
Nickolas Archacki was next bowler for Marian who bowled all six games as he scored a total of 1130.
Matt Watson scored a 514 in three individual games, while
Adarius Reese knocked down 312 pins in two games and
Kyle Toyias bowled one game to score 139.
The Knights will be back in action on March 4 when they host the Crossroads League Championship.
