INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian track and field team, as well as the cross country team, received the signed letter of intent from Victor Cuevas, as announced by the coaching staff.

Victor Cuevas comes to Marian University from Ben Davis High School, and is a native of Indianapolis. At Ben Davis, Cuevas has had a successful running career in cross country, and plans to specialize in long distance for the Knights' track team. Cuevas has been named All-MIC for cross country and has earned All-Sectional three consecutive years for cross country. The Indianapolis native has been named to the Academic All-State team for both cross country and track three times, and ranks fourth of 966 in his class with a GPA of 4.90. 

Upon attending Marian, Victor intends to major in math education. Victor is the son of Victor Cuevas Jr. and Laura Cuevas.
