INDIANAPOLIS – The Marian track and field team has received the signed letter of intent from Emory McClellan, as announced by the coaching staff.
Emory McClellan comes to Marian University from Southport High School, and is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. At Southport, McClellan is on the track and field team, where he specialized in hurdles.
McClellan has earned a few accolades in his track career for the Wildcats, as he was a Regional Qualifier in both the 300-meter hurdles and 4x400 meter relay team, All-County in the 300-meter hurdles, All-Conference in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, and was awarded with the Sportsmanship Award in the 2022 season.
Outside of his athletics accolades, Emory has been involved with the United Way of Central Indiana Over the Edge.
Upon attending Marian, McClellan plans to major in history. Emory is the son of Torrance and Beth McClellan. He also has one sister, Yasmin.
