INDIANAPOLIS - On Monday June 26, it was reported by NBA insider Cody Taylor and later confirmed by One Motive Sports agency group, that Marian men's basketball alum Reginald Kissoonlal will be playing with the Boston Celtics in next month's
NBA 2K24 Summer League.
Kissoonlal, a 2019 graduate, was a force in the post and on the perimeter in his two-year career at Marian, shooting 56 percent from the field in his career and 35 percent from three. As a Knight Reggie averaged 16.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Kissoonlal was named the Crossroads League Newcomer of the Year and Defender of the Year in 2017-18 when he transferred to Marian as a junior, and ended his career with both the single season and career records for blocked shots.
In the 2022-23 basketball season, Reggie played with the NBA G League's Maine Celtics, the direct affiliate to the Boston club. Reggie played three years in Europe before joining the Celtics organization last year on an NBA Exhibit 10 Contract. In his rookie season with Maine, Kissoonlal played in 18 games, averaging around five points and three rebounds per game. The big man also averaged 1.2 blocks per game in his rookie campaign.
The
NBA 2K24 Summer League is set to begin on July 7, with the Celtics tipping off on July 8. All games of the
NBA 2K24 Summer League will be aired on the ESPN networks along with NBA TV.
