INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian Knights football season kicks off on Saturday, September 2 from Streamwood, Illinois, as the Knights travel to Judson University for the regular season opener. The Knights have a new energy behind them with head coach Ted Karras Jr. back at the helm for his seventh season as the Marian head coach, and are eager to begin the year at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.

THE GAME

This is the first meeting in program history against Judson University, as the Knights and Eagles square off to begin the 2023 season. Judson is one of the newer programs in NAIA football, playing their first season in 2021. Marian, who began football in 2007, is entering their 17th season of football.

The Knights are 11-5 all-time in season openers, and are 11-5 overall when playing their first road game of the season. Marian enters the season ranked No. 6 in the NAIA and were the MSFA Mideast favorites coming off their 9-2 mark in 2022, while Judson was picked sixth in the MSFA Midwest. Judson went 2-8 one season ago.

TICKETS

Fans can purchase tickets at the gate on Saturday. Gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission and $10 for children under 12 and senior citizens.

TAILGATING

Tailgating spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No alcohol or open flame, per Judson Athletics.

LOCATION

Marian's game will be played at Streamwood High School, with kickoff from Millennium Field set for 2 p.m. EST. The address for the stadium is 701 W Schaumburg Road, Streamwood, Illinois. 

UNIFORM

For the first time in program history, the Knights will wear their navy uniforms on the road, wearing Marian blue on Saturday afternoon. Judson will wear all white uniforms for their home opener.
