INDIANAPOLIS - Coming off of a bye week, the No. 5 Marian football team is refreshed and re-energized as they get set to kick off their MSFA Mideast slate, as the Knights host Lawrence Tech this Saturday at 1:05 p.m. Kickoff from St. Vincent Field on Saturday highlights Marian University's homecoming and family weekend festivities, as the Knights and Blue Devils meet for the fourth time in series history.
THE GAME AND THE SERIES
Marian comes into the game with a 3-0 record, while Lawrence Tech enters with a 1-3 mark. Marian is playing their first of seven MSFA Mideast contests this season, while the Blue Devils are playing their second, as they are 0-1 in the MSFA after losing to Indiana Wesleyan in week 0.
Marian enters the matchup on Saturday with a perfect record in the series, holding a 3-0 edge on Lawrence Tech. Marian has won each game in the series by an average of 37 points per contest, and are allowing just 7.0 points per game, with last year's matchup showing the most combined points in a single contest. Quarterback Zach Bundalo threw for four touchdowns and 274 yards in last season's 45-14 victory, one of three games last season the third all-time leader passer tossed for four scores. Jalen Jennings and Tirae Spence each caught a touchdown in last year's meeting, while Baron Huebler and Christian Hunter scored on the ground.
Six players on Marian's active roster have either scored a touchdown or forced a turnover against Lawrence Tech in the series which began in 2019.
KNIGHTS COME HOME
Since 2015 Marian is undefeated on homecoming, holding a 7-0 record in the annual game. The Knights won their last homecoming game defeating Taylor University by a runaway score of 67-7. In last year's homecoming game seven different Knights found the end zone, with an 88-yard pick-six from senior linebacker Logan Blake highlighting the end of a 33-point first half.

This season, all Marian home games on the ISC Sports Network will be pay per view, and single game and season passes can be purchased now. The pay per view cost for Saturday's game on the ISC Sports Network is $9.99, and revenue generated from the live stream will go directly back into the athletics department. Tickets for Saturday's game are on sale now, with general admission ticket pricing starting at $10. Parking for Saturday's game starts at $10 and is cash only. Parking for Saturday's game against Lawrence Tech will not be available online and can only be purchased day-of on campus.
TAILGATING
Tailgate spots are filling fast for this weekend. For more information on tailgating, rules, and policies, click here. Tailgate lots will open at 10 a.m., and fans can join the picnic lunch on the quad, which begins at 11 a.m.
STUDENT GIVEAWAY
The Marian Maniacs have their third giveaway of the football season on Saturday, as they will be handing out Marian inspired belt bags. Students can claim their giveaway item at the end of the first quarter just off the student section.
CELEBRATION OF WELLNESS 5K
At 8 a.m. on Saturday, the Marian College of Osteopathic Medicine will host their annual 5K. The race will start at the velodrome, and registration and early check-in begins on Friday, September 29. View more information here.
POST GAME ACTIVITIES
Following Saturday's game, the Marian women's soccer team will take the field in the final home athletics event of the month of September. Marian takes on (RV) Taylor at 7 p.m. from St. Vincent Field, aiming for their second win in Crossroads League play.
In addition to the women's soccer match, Marian University will host post game mass and also Knightro's Alehouse. Knightro's Alehouse is available for all fans and alumni as a post game celebration, and information can be found on Marian's alumni page. Lastly, casino for all Marian students will begin at 8 p.m. in the Hall of Champions.
