Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Marian women's cross country team finished fourth overall in the women's maroon 5k race. The Knights competed at the annual NAIA Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas College claiming 132 points and were led by Katie Woods' second place effort.

Katie Woods led the Knights with a second place finish clocking a time of 17:12.10. Woods held a pace of 3:26 per kilometer. Summer Rempe was the next finisher for Marian placing in 22nd with a time of 18:25.60 holding a pace of 3:41 per kilometer. Emma Beimfohr was the next to cross the line with a time of 18:34.90 to place in 30th place holding a pace of 3:43 per kilometer.

Nora Steele was the next to finish with a time of 18:41.60 with a pace of 3.44 per kilometer with a placement of 35th. Emersyn Weaver was the next to finish with a time of 18:58.10 and a placement of 49th. Vivienne Siefker was the next to finish for the Knights with a 54th place finish with a time of 19:05.10 clocking a pace of 3:49 per kilometer. Lindsay Huston and Gracynn Hinkley were the next to finish for the Knights with Huston placing in 80th and Hinkley in 81st. Huston claimed a time of 19:18.80. Hinkley followed up with a time of 19:18.90. Gracie Fields was the final Knight to finish in 97th place with a time of 19:30.80.

The Knights also competed in the women's white 5k after the maroon race with four runners racing;

Taylor, Grace, and Indiana Wesleyan took home the top-three placements at the NAIA Great Lakes Challegenge. The Knights will be back in action at the Crossroads League Championships, held on November 8th at Taylor University.
