AUSTIN, Texas - For the second time in program history, the Marian men's soccer program has earned an Academic All-American through the College Sports Communicators All-American Committee, as
Kyle Alb was named to the CSC NAIA All-American Second Team.
Kyle Alb is Marian's second-ever Academic All-American through CSC, joining Grant Brackin, who was a 2012 Third Team Academic All-American. Alb was named to the Academic All-American Second Team, maintaining a high GPA while majoring in biology in the classroom. On the field, Alb scored three goals and had five assists, and helped lead a defense that yielded under two goals per game. Alb was named to the Crossroads League First Team this season.
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 NAIA Academic All-America® program. The NAIA first team had a 3.90 average GPA, with three members of the first team and six total showing 4.00 GPAs.
Alb helped Marian finish their season with an overall record of 14-5-3, reaching the NAIA Tournament Second Round for the first time in program history.
