Netral Repeats School History as Knights Compete at Ball State

Muncie, Ind. - The Marian men's track and field team continued their outdoor season on Friday and Saturday, competing in the Ball State We Fly Challenge. Marian's throwers dominated over the weekend, collecting six NAIA A standard marks.

For the second consecutive week Jacob Netral rewrote the Marian record book in the shot put, extending his national lead as he set a new school record with an A standard distance of 18.34m. Joining Netral on the podium in the shot put was Christian Rios and Isaiah Tipping, as each Knight posted an A standard mark, with Tipping's coming as a new A standard for Marian. Tipping also hit A standards in the discus and hammer, and RIos hit an A standard in the hammer throw.

On the track Robin Aguilar-Gonzalez won the steeplechase, and Marian's 4x400m relay team finished first place with an NAIA B standard time.
