NEW ORLEANS, La. – All-Academic Athletes for the 2024-25 NAIA Men's and Women's Track & Field seasons were announced on Monday, July 21, by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Both of the Marian men's and women's track and field teams were represented on the USTFCCCA Teams, while the men's indoor track and field team was named as the National Scholar Team of the Year.
Marian (Ind.) was named the 2025 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Team of the Year. The Knights, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.28, won the team title at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships with 74 points. This is the first time in program history that Marian has been named NAIA Indoor Men's National Scholar Team of the Year.
Marian's women's indoor track and field team, who carried a 3.38 cumulative team GPA, were named as one of the 52 NAIA programs to earn scholar team accolades.
The criteria to earning the team scholar team award includes:
- The cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's eligibility certificate for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either Faculty Rep or Compliance Coordinator or Registrar's Office
- The cumulative GPA of all student-athletes on the institution's eligibility certificate for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be computed by the following method:
- Total the cumulative number of semester hours or quarter hours earned for all student-athletes on the eligibility certificate including the most recent grading period;
- Total the cumulative number of quality points earned by all student-athletes, including the most recent grading period;
- Divide the cumulative number of quality points earned by the cumulative number of semester or quarter hours earned.
- Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale than 4.0 then must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0].

Student-athletes who meet ALL the following criteria were named as 2024-25 All-Academic Athletes:
- Cumulative GPA: 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either Faculty Rep or Compliance Coordinator or Registrar's Office.
- Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0].
- Athletic criteria for the award can be met in either the indoor season, the outdoor season, or both:
- For the indoor season: must have achieved an "A" or "B" standard in a Championship event, certifiable by their place on the NAIA descending order lists on TFRRS for Indoor Track and Field.
- For the outdoor season: must have achieved an "A" or "B" standard in a Championship event, certifiable by their place on the NAIA descending order lists on TFRRS for Outdoor Track and Field.
- Must have completed at least two (2) semesters or three (3) quarters at the certifying institution.
