Marion, Ind. - The Marian women's cross country team started off their 2024 campaign Friday evening, finishing fifth out of 20 teams at the IWU Twilight meet. The Knights efforts were led off my
Katie Woods.
Taylor won the meet with a team score of 29, while Grace, Indiana Wesleyan, and Huntington rounded out the top four. Crossroads League competitors Mt. Vernon and St. Francis finished closely behind the Knights in sixth and seventh, while Bethel rounded out the League in 18th.
Katie Woods led Marian with a third place finish with a time of 22:15.0 only 16.8 seconds behind Crossroads League counterpart Jaynie Halterman from Taylor.
Emma Beimfohr was next up to finish for the Knights in 30th place with a time of 24:07.4.
Vivienne Siefker was the next up to finish for the Knights finishing in 37th place with a time of 24:14.6.
Nora Steele finished in 44th with a time of 24:33.2 within a group of Crossroads League competitors from Indiana Wesleyan, Taylor, and Mt. Vernon.
Summer Rempe finished in 57th with a time of 24:50.4. In the same finishing group as Rempe, Grace Fields finished in 60th with a time of 24:56.1.
Gracynn Hinkley finsihed in 71st for the Knights with a time of 25:11.8.
