Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Marian Women's Cross Country team finished in the top-five at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge. The 11th ranked Knights finished in fourth at Aquinas with
Katie Woods leading the way finishing as the individual runner-up.
Taylor finished on top with 51 points while Cornerstone came in second with 99 points. Grace finished in third with 139 points and the Knights were close behind finishing in fourth with 152 points. Olivet Nazarene wrapped up the top five with 183 points. Other Crossroads League schools included Indiana Wesleyan with a sixth place finish, Mount Vernon with a 15th place finish. As well as Spring Arbor with a 17th place finish overall.
Katie Woods led the way once again as the individual runner-up with a time of 17:42.80 pacing a 3:33.
Kaelina Matthews was the next to finish for Marian with a 19th place finish clocking a time of 18:20.40 pacing a 3:40 throughout the race.
Claire Milam was the third to finish with a 18:33.90 to place 27th and pacing a 3:43.
Emersyn Weaver came in 46th with a time of 18:54.40 pacing a 3:47 throughout.
Gracynn Hinkley finished 61st with a time of 19:01.60 pacing a 3:48.
Lindsay Huston was close behind with a 63rd placement clocking a 19:02.20. Josie Fledman rounded out the top seven finishing in 72nd with a time of 19:08.90.
Marian also had three more runners in the event with
Elaina Herman finishing in 95th.
Summer Rempe finished in 100th and
Vivienne Siefker finished in 110th rounding out the Knights.
The Knights will be back in action on November 7th as they travel to Marion, Ind. to compete in the Crossroads League Championships.
