Marion, Ind.- The Marian men's soccer team falls 0-1 to the No. 9 Wildcats in a ranked matchup. Marian moves to 8-5-4 on the season and 3-3-2 in the Crossroads League.

Fosslyn Grant opened up the game with a shot that was blocked. Indiana Wesleyan followed up with a goal to take the early lead. Grant, Gustavo Nunes and Josh Wesseling attempted pushing back but came up short. Indiana Wesleyan recorded three more shots but came up short to the Knights and Ricardo Marquez's defense. Each team recorded two more shots before the half was up with Joao Antonio Rocha and Samuel Wehaus each recording the shots for the Knights but once again came up short ending the half 0-1.

The Knights opened up with six shots from; Wesseling, Nunes, Grant, Rafael Zambrano, and Donovan Doolittle. But came up short to the Wildcats defense and skills in goal. Indiana Wesleyan recorded a shot that was saved by Marquez. Nunes and Wesseling took two more shots attempting to level the score, but came up short in the game with a 0-1 loss.

Gustavo Nunes, Josh Wesseling, and Foslyn Grant led the team in shots with three while Joao Antonio Rocha recorded a pair. Donovan Doolittle, Rafael Zambrano, and Samuel Wehaus all had one shot in the match. In goal Ricardo Marquez took the loss recording three saves on the day.

Marian will be back in action on Wednesday, October 29th as they host Saint Francis (Ind.) at home at 7pm on Senior Night.
