Corbin, Ky. - The Marian wrestling team opened the 2025-26 season on Saturday in Kentucky, competing at the annual Pepsi Patriot Open. Marian finished fourth overall in the event, scoring 186 points. The Knights finished a 1.5 points out of third, just behind Campbellsville.
Braden Getz had Marian's top individual performance, finishing as the runner-up in the 165 bracket.
Anthony Hughes went on to finish third in the 133 weight class, while Christia Arberry,
Aidan Abad, and
Michael Yerian each finished fifth in their respective brackets. In the freshmen brackets,
Connor Bayliss finished fifth in the 133 weight class.
