Rochester Hills, Mich. - The Marian lacrosse team took down Rochester Christian 18-0 Saturday afternoon. The Knights are now 7-4 overall and 3-1 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
The Knights took the lead early with
Delaney Koles,
Ruby Mason,
Emily Blackburn,
Rylie Boezeman, and
Ella Grace Giedd each recording a goal to end the quarter 5-0 in favor of the Knights.
The home team had no signs of stopping scoring six more unanswered goals in the second quarter to increase the lead 12-0 over the Warriors. With
Allyson Cissell scoring two while Mason,
Olivia Dean,
Mackenzie Brooks, Giedd, and
Alex Dean each scored one to end off the quarter.
After the half Giedd scored her third goal of the day earning a hat trick and increasing the Knights lead 13-0. The Knights scored two more goals both from
Alex Dean to earn her hat trick and bring the score 15-0 going into the final quarter of play.
Cissell opened up the final quarter scoring her hat trick and extend the lead 16-0. Marian extended their lead with two more goals from
Olivia Dean and
Delaney Koles to end the game with the 18-0 victory.

Allyson Cissell, and Ella Grace Geidd led the Knights offensively each recording a hat trick.
Delaney Koles,
Olivia Dean, and
Ruby Mason each recorded a brace as well. While,
Mackenzie Brooks,
Emily Blackburn, and
Rylie Boezeman each recorded a goal.
Alex Dean led the team in shots with seven and four on target. Mason and Koles recorded four shots each with three on target while Cissell and Giedd recorded three shots all on goal.
Anna Moore, Brooks, and Mason each recorded to assists while Giedd, Cissell, and Blackburn recorded one assist. Both Alex and
Olivia Dean recorded six ground ball recoveries while Giedd recorded four.Â

Olivia Dean led the leam in caused turnovers with five while Giedd and
Esbeydi Montes had three each. Cissell,
Taleah Nool, and
Hayli Irvin each recorded two caused turnovers.
Alex Dean and
Anna Moore led the team in draw controls with three while Mason and Boezeman each had two and Nool had one. In goal Katherin Hirsch earned the win playing the first half while
Marissa Bardo came in for the second half and recorded three saves.
The Knights are back in action on Wednesday, April 2nd on the road as they take on Madonna with first draw set for 6 p.m.
