GREENWOOD, Ind. - On Wednesday, June 18, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their 2024-25 NAIA Academic All-District Team Selections. The Marian University men's and women's golf teams were well represented on the selections, combining for five honors on the At-Large All-District Team.
Eligible nominees for the CSC Academic All-America program must maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically, while golfers must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament to be considered for the At-Large Academic All-District Team.
Each school is allowed up to six nominations for men's at-large and six for women's at-large, with selected CSC Academic All-District recipients advancing to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors. Those awards will be voted on by members of CSC from around the nation and will be announced on July 8 and 9.
Weston Ogden,
Augie Mann, and
Nolan Potter represented the men's golf team, and joined men's bowlers Kyle Toyias, Dylan Mollo, and David Hayes as the university's six nominations.
MacKendzie Dresbaugh and
Keara Eder represented the women's golf team, joining women's lacrosse member Ella Grace Giedd, competitive cheerleader Meilyn Kniola, and women's bowlers Macie Hadley and Tandess O'Neal as the six women nominated from Marian.
Marian led the Crossroads League with five golfers on the CSC At-Large Academic All-District Teams, while Grace and Taylor each posted four. Indiana Wesleyan collected three honors.
For Ogden, Mann, and Potter, the trio are the first three selections to the At-Large Team in program history, while Dresbaugh and Eder are the first women's golf recipients in a decade, being the third and fourth players in program history to earn the honor. Ogden will join Mollo and Hayes on the Academic All-America ballot, while Eder and Dresbaugh will join Giedd and O'Neal.
Ogden led the Knights golf team this year, as he was an All-Crossroads League honoree, in addition to being named both an NAIA and PING All-American this year. Both Potter and Mann were 2025 All-Crossroads League selections, and helped the Knights win their third consecutive Crossroads League Championship, while qualifiying for the NAIA Championships.
Dresbaugh and Eder helped Marian to a third-place finish in the 2025 NAIA National Championship, setting a program record for best finish and best 72-hole score in program history. Dresbaugh was named to the NAIA All-America Second Team and the WGCA NAIA All-America Honorable Mention Team in addition to earning All-Crossroads League honors, while Eder was named an NAIA All-America Third Team member. Eder was also named to the All-Crossroads League Team.
