Weston Ogden Earns CSC At-Large Second Team Academic All-America Honors

Austin, Texas - On Wednesday, July 9, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their 2024-25 At-Large Academic All-America Team selections. For the first time in program history, the Knights have been honored with an Academic All-American, as Weston Ogden was named to the CSC Second Team.

Ogden is one of three Marian student-athletes to be named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America Teams, as he joins First Team honoree Dylan Mollo and fellow Second Team honoree David Hayes. Both Hayes and Mollo are members of the Marian men's bowling team.

Ogden led the Knights golf team this year, as he was an All-Crossroads League honoree, in addition to being named both an NAIA and PING All-American this year. The junior won two tournaments in the 2024-25 season, and helped lead Marian to their 2025 Crossroads League Championship and qualify for the 2025 NAIA Championship. Ogden had an additional three top-five finishes and on the season, averaged a 71.5 score per round. Ogden played 30 total rounds in 2024-25, compiling a record of 591-170-19 for the season. Ogden ended the season with a 79th-place finish at the NAIA National Championship.

Eligible nominees for the CSC Academic All-America program must maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically, while golfers must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament to be considered for the At-Large Academic All-District Team.

The NAIA honorees in 2024-25 combined for a 3.82 GPA.
