Men's Basketball Releases 2025-26 Schedule; Knights Open Season in Exhibition at Indiana University

INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian men's basketball team has finalized their schedule for the 2025-26 campaign, as the Knights enter their second year under head coach Pat Knight. Marian's season will open with their new traditional preseason exhibition partner, as the Knights will travel to Bloomington on October 17 to square up against the Indiana Hoosiers.

For the fourth consecutive season and the fifth time since 2017, Marian will headline the early stages of their season schedule with a trip to Indiana University, as the Knights will take on the Hoosiers in an exhibition on Friday, October 17. In what has become an annual tradition in part of the Knights' ties to Indiana, Marian will open their season with the exhibition match for their first game of the year in Bloomington. The game is the earliest contest for the Knights on the schedule in the last 10 years. Dylan Moles is Marian's lead returning scorer from last year's matchup, as he scored 12 points in the preseason clash. Josiah Gustin and Noah Lovan led the bench and combined for 17 points during their freshman matchup in Assembly Hall.

The regular season will officially tip off on Saturday, October 25, with Marian traveling to Wilberforce, before coming home for a lengthy four-game homestand in their early non-conference slate in the first two weeks of November. During the four-game stretch, Marian will host Olivet Nazarene, St. Thomas, Indiana Tech, and IU-Southeast. The Warriors and Grenadiers represent two of the nine teams on Marian's schedule who qualified for the 2024-25 NAIA National Tournament.

Crossroads League action will tip on November 19 with the Knights traveling to Bethel, while on November 22 Marian will host Spring Arbor for their first conference home game. The eight-game run in the month of November will conclude in the Chicagoland area, with the Knights playing in the St. Francis (Ill.) Thanksgiving Classic.

The schedule lightens up in December with five total contests, as Marian plays two Crossroads League foes in Goshen and Mount Vernon Nazarene and their final three non-conference games. Two of the three non-league games will be played at the John Wooden Family Fieldhouse in Xenia, Ohio, in the Athletes in Action Christmas Showcase.

The stretch run of Crossroads League games will resume on January 3 when the Knights travel to Taylor. The first half of league play will conclude on January 17 with a road trip to Huntington, while the second half will start at home against Bethel on January 24. The Knights play three of their final five games at home, and end the regular season with consecutive home games against Indiana Wesleyan and Huntington.

The Knights' regular season will feature 14 games against nine opponents who qualified for the 2025 NAIA National Tournament, with 10 games coming during Crossroads League play.

The Crossroads League Tournament will begin on February 25, and the NAIA Tournament First Round is scheduled to tip on March 13.

Marian will boast a roster in 2025-26 that returns over 80 percent of the team's scoring in the 2024-25 season, while bringing back over 70 percent of the team's rebounds and assists.
