Indianapolis, Ind.- The number six ranked Knights secured a 2-1 win over number 22 University of Northwestern Ohio Saturday afternoon at home. The Knights continue their undefeated season with a 6-0 record after the weekend match-up.
Olivia Parmer opened up the game with a pair of shots but was followed up by a shot from the University of Northwestern Ohio. Parmer got a chance with the ball again scoring an unassisted goal to take the 1-0 lead. Eight minutes later the Racers were able to take a shot and evened up the game 1-1.
Katie Koger and
Lauren Maresh attempted a push but came up short to the Racers defense. The University of Northwestern Ohio took two more shots but were saved by
Lily Ames and blocked by the Knights ending the half tied 1-1.Â

Sammie King, and Parmer opened up the second half recording a shot each but all came up short.
Sienna Mullen took a chance and extended the lead 2-1 with an assist from Koger at the 72nd minute of play. The Knights defense continued to shine holding the Racers to only one shot ending the game with a 2-1 win.Â

Lauren Maresh each recorded one shot and Koger recorded the single assist of the day. In goal
Lily Ames claimed her sixth win with three saves.Â
The Knights will be back in action at home on Tuesday, September 9th as they take on Saint Xavier at 7 PM.Â
