Jackson, Mich. - For the first time this season, Marian women's basketball has been honored with the Crossroads League's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, as senior Abbey McNally earned both honors following her stellar play last week in wins over Ohio Christian and (RV) Taylor.

Abbey McNally had her best week of the season last week, helping Marian to a blowout win over Ohio Christian before ending the week with an emotionally moving performance at Taylor. On the offensive end of the floor, McNally averaged 27 points per game, scoring 25 in just 14 minutes against Ohio Christian, while ending the week with a season-high 29 points at Taylor. McNally shot 76 percent from the floor on the week and made 82 percent of her free throws on the week. Defensively, the senior averaged 12.0 total rebounds per game with a season-high 17 boards in the win over Taylor. Additionally, McNally recorded four steals in each of the team's victories and blocked two shots at Taylor. 

McNally's Defensive Player of the Week honor is the sixth of her career, winning the award five times during her junior season, while the Offensive Player of the Week is her third in her career, twice winning in 2024-25. This is the ninth different week that McNally has earned Crossroads League Player of the Week honors, and the second time she has swept both the offensive and defensive honors, with the first being from her efforts of the week of January 27-February 2, 2025.

Abbey McNally is the second player this season to win both the offensive and defensive players of the week in the same week, joining Taylor's Kaycie Warfel, who accomplished the feat in the first week of the season.

The Knights bring their undefeated record home this Wednesday night, hosting Grace College at 5:30 p.m.
