Defending Champion Knights Qualify for NAIA Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 12 teams that will Battle for the Red Banner at the 2026 NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship have been announced and are set to compete March 19-21 at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Mich. The Marian men's bowling are one of the 12 teams that will be in the 2026 championship field, as the defending champions look to repeat their formula that led to the 2025 National Championship.

The championship takes on a new format in 2026, as a dozen seeded teams split into two six-team, double-elimination brackets, playing mega-match style competitions for the right to play in the championship mega-match, Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. ET.

Fans also have more ways to watch and an expanded broadcast schedule for the 2026 championship. For the first time, every match will air, with lane-by-lane coverage on Bowl TV. BowlTV will also produce a centralized broadcast that will simulcast on Urban Edge Network and NAIA Network. For links to mobile and smart TV apps, visit NAIA.org/Watch.

Leading up to the tournament, NAIA.org will preview the new match format, the new bracket, and capsule each team that's headed to Lansing.

The Knights are the six-seed entering the tournament field, one spot better than last year's team, which had to qualify for seeding. Marian is joined by Spring Arbor in representing the Crossroads League, with the Cougars earning an At-Large bid.

Marian has one final tournament to fine-tune their skills entering the NAIA Championship, as they travel to Addison, Ill., next Saturday and Sunday to compete at ITC Sectionals.
