Indianapolis, Ind. - The Marian women's tennis team recorded another Crossroads League win with their 6-1 win over Goshen Friday evening. After the win, Marian moves to 6-5 overall on the season and 4-0 in the Crossroads League.

Marian got off to an early lead with Liliane Alinquant and Ana Barbosa Fernandez taking the 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Goshen fought back with a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles against Michelle Irigoyen and Jimena Rivera Flores. Yasmin Imamniyazova and Ana Lopez Torres were able to fight back and earn the doubles point for the Knights with their 6-4 win at No. 1.

After taking the doubles point, Imamniyazova extended Marian's lead with a pair of 6-2 wins at No. 1 followed by Irigoyen's 6-2, 6-3 wins at No. 3. Lopez Torres was the next to finish with a 7-6(4), 6-4 win at No. 3. Goshen was able to get on the board with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Rivera Flores at No. 4.

With the Knights leading 4-1, Alinquant recorded another point for Marian with her 6-2, 7-6(4) win at No. 5. Paloma Caceres Villalba wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles, taking the 6-1 win for Marian.

Marian will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Georgetown, Ky., to take on the Tigers with doubles action starting at 1 PM.
