Bullhead City, Ariz. - The Marian men's golf team finished its second tournament of the spring on Tuesday afternoon, finishing 11th out of 20 teams in a loaded field at the Wayland Baptist Battle. Marian was led by
Nolan Potter individually, who finished in the top-20.
Keiser finished first in the tournament, trailed by Hastings and Texas Wesleyan, which tied for second. Keiser scored an 879 for the three rounds, while Hastings and TWU each shot an 885.
Marian finished 11th as a team, scoring a 908 as a team in the event. The Knights earned ranked wins over Friends, Indiana Wesleyan, and Rocky Mountain.
Nolan Potter was Marian's individual leader, scoring a 222 over three rounds. Potter scored a 72 in round one and 77 in round two on Monday, finishing with a 73 to close the tournament.
Lane Zedrick tied for 39th with his 227 total (74+80+73), and
Augie Mann finished in a tie for 41st, scoring a 228 (80+76+72).
Brody Holubar finished the lineup with a 241 score, scoring two rounds of 78 on Monday and an 85 on Tuesday, finishing tied for 83rd.
Weston Ogden had a strong start to the tournament, but did not finish the event. Ogden had scores of 74 and 76 in rounds one and two.
The Knights will next compete at the Midway Invitational on March 30 and 31.
