Toccoa, Ga. - The Marian men's golf team began its spring season this week, playing 54-holes at the Currahee Club Invitational, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. Marian finished fourth overall in their first event of the spring, knocking off the rust as they returned to competition for the first time since October 7.
Indiana Wesleyan won its tournament, beating out Webber International by nine strokes to record the team championship. The University of the Cumberlands beat Marian by four strokes for third, pushing the Knights into a fourth-place finish despite a late-hole comeback effortfor the Knights.. Marian did record five wins, defeating Cumberland, SCAD-Savannah, Indiana Wesleyan's B-lineup, Taylor, and Toccoa Falls. Marian finished with an 903 overall team score in its fourth-place finish.
Augie Mann was Marian's individual leader, finishing just outside of the top-10 with an 11th place individual finish.
Weston Ogden finished 12th, just missing a top-10 performance after holding rank throughout the early stages of the tournament, and
Lane Zedrick finished 21st.
Nolan Potter and
Brody Holubar rounded out the Marian lineup, both tying for 22nd overall.

Marian next competes on March 23 and 24, traveling to Nevada to compete in the Battle at Laughlin Ranch, hosted by Wayland Baptist.
