Giedd, Dean, Nool Each Earn CSC Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The 2026 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large teams were released on Tuesday, June 16, selected by College Sports Communicators, and recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the classroom and on the playing field. For the second consecutive season, the Marian women's lacrosse team has been featured on the team, as Ella Grace Giedd, Taleah Nool, and Olivia Dean were each named At-Large Academic All-District.

Eligible nominees for the CSC Academic All-America program must maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically, while lacrosse nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Each school is allowed up to six nominations for men's at-large and six for women's at-large, with selected CSC Academic All-District recipients advancing to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors. In addition to lacrosse, competitive cheer, competitive dance, bowling, golf, beach volleyball, and wrestling are NAIA women's sports that can be awarded with Academic All-District honors.

2026 is the second consecutive year that Marian has had a member of the CSC Academic All-District Team, as Ella Grace Giedd earned her second career honor. Senior Taleah Nool and sophomore Olivia Dean each earned their first career honors, giving Marian a record three members on the team.

All three played an integral role in Marian's sweep of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular-season and tournament titles and helped lead Marian to the NAIA Tournament for the first time since the tournament moved from invitational to championship status.

All three were members of the WHAC All-Conference teams, with Dean earning the highest praise as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year. Dean was a First Team NAIA All-American, while Giedd earned Second Team All-America honors. Both Dean and Giedd have been selected to be on the Academic All-America ballot.

Marian was one of six Crossroads League schools to have a student-athlete earn CSC Academic All-District honors, with Marian, Taylor, and Indiana Wesleyan the only three that had six nominations. As an affiliate member of the WHAC, Marian helped the league become one of four schools with ties to the conference to earn an honor. Marian had a conference-best three lacrosse awards, edging out Indiana Tech's two honors. Five total WHAC lacrosse players were recognized.

The lacrosse trio joins Marian's other three honorees on the CSC Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team, joining golfers Keara Eder, Jordan Adam, and Maria Kennard.
