Newton, Kan. —- The 11th-ranked Marian University Men's Golf team placed fifth at The Mid-South Classic, its first tournament of the fall season on Tuesday in Newton, Kansas.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Drew Hardin turned in a final-round 74 for a T5 finish, recording a team-low 4-under par tournament

- Lane Zedrick picked up three birdies in the front nine of a one-under 71 round, reaching into the top 20 with a T16 finish at one-over

- Kai Warner shot an even-round 72, placing T30

- Ryan Cesare was the top individual for the Knights in his first collegiate tournament, finishing at 8-over after a 73 on Tuesday

- Drew Werkley bounced back with an under-par 71 on Tuesday
