JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league's top individual performances from September 14 through September 20. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week's winners.
For the second week in a row, and the fifth honor of his career,
Samuel Wehaus earned the Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week honor. Wehaus scored a season-high three goals in Marian's 6-0 win over St. Mary of the Woods and finished the week atop the NAIA with 10 goals and 22 points on the season. Throughout the week, Wehaus held a .500 shot-on-goal percentage with five of his 10 shots on target. With Wehaus' honor, the Knights recorded three straight weeks of capturing the Crossroads League Honor.
The Knights are back in action as they host IU-East on Wednesday at 7 PM at Ascension St. Vincent Field in their last game of their six game home stand.
