Men’s Golf sits fifth following Day One at Wildcat Invite

West Lafayette, Ind. —- The 11th-ranked Marian University men's golf team sits in a tie for fifth following the opening day of the Wildcat Invitational, hosted at Purdue University's Ackerman-Allen Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Kai Warner was the top Knight on the leaderboard after day one, sitting at T5 with a 74-70 outing on Monday. He followed an opening round with one birdie with a six-birdie round two.

- Lane Zedrick is one shot back of Warner with scores of 73-72, good for eighth.

- Drew Hardin was the other Knight in the top 15, sitting T13 after 36 holes with scores of 75 and 72.

- Brody Holubar (T35), Drew Werkley (T39) and Ryan Cesare (T39) rounded out Marian's lineup

UP NEXT

- The Knights look to make a move up the leaderboard on Tuesday, with the final round teeing off at 8:45 a.m.
