2023: The heart of Marian's defense, Frey ended his career on top earning NAIA AFCA and AP All-American First Team Honors ... The four-year starter at safety ended his career with 40 consecutive starts, and was the 2023 MSFA Mideast League Defensive Player of the Year ... Earned MSFA Mideast League First Team honors, posting 73 total tackles on the season, the second-most on Marian's defense ... Recorded 36 solo tackles and a team-high 37 assisted tackles ... Made five tackles for loss ... Tied for the team lead with three interceptions ... Had three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery ... Began the season with seven tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss at Judson ... Posted an interception against St. Xavier in a three tackle game ... Finished the year fifth on the team in total tackles with 40 combined tackles ... Made 25 solo stops and 15 assisted tackles ... Made one interception and 2.5 tackles for loss ... Started the year slow but picked up speed with a four tackle game against both Missouri Baptist and Taylor ... Posted a regular-season best seven tackles including one for a loss against Indiana Wesleyan ... Made five stops at St. Francis (Ind.) ... Made a tackle for loss at Concordia in a four-tackle game ... Made two tackles and had an interception with a 26-yard run back against St. Xavier in the NAIA FCS First Round ... In the NAIA FCS Quarterfinals at Northwestern posted a season-high eight tackles, making seven solo stops to go with a pass breakup ... 2021: Followed the spring with a dominant third year as a Knight, starting all 12 games at the safety position ... Began the season with seven total stops against Tiffin ... Against Missouri Baptist posted five total tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery ... Had seven tackles at Taylor and at Indiana Wesleyan ... Made a season-high eight stops against Concordia ... Against Lawrence Tech made seven tackle, all of them solo stops ... Made seven tackles against Southwestern and ended the year in the NAIA FCS Quarterfinals with a season-high eight tackles against Northwestern ... Named to the MSFA All-Academic Team. 

2020-21: Had a breakout season as a redshirt-freshman, starting all six games at safety ... Made 18 total tackles, including 12 solos ... Made collegiate debut against Trinity International on Feb. 13 making two total tackles with one pass breakup ... Made two solo tackles in four of six games ... Had a season-high three solos and four total tackles against Indiana Wesleyan on March 13 ... Made one tackle for loss, stuffing a runner against St. Francis on April 10 for a two-yard loss ... Also had a pass break up against St. Francis ... Made 3.5 total tackles against Reinhardt ... Named an MSFA All-Academic Team member and NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete.
