The Bulldogs saw improvement in their ground game under Coad's leadership increasing their per-game rush average by 41 yards over his three seasons, and in 2021 Coad's linemen helped Butler finish fourth in the league with 15 sacks allowed.
  • Serves as team’s recruiting coordinator, coordinating all campus visits, designating staff recruiting areas and managing scholarship offers as needed.

  • In his first season with MU, Coad led an under-manned offensive line to one of the best seasons in the program's history. The offensive line helped lead the Knights to an 11-3 overall record, a 5-1 mark in MSFA Mideast play, their third MSFA Mideast League title and the program's second trip to the NAIA Football National Championship game.
  • The offensive line protected the quarterbacks who had the most prolific season in team history. MU had 3,761 passing yards, which was a single-season school record, and had a passer rating of 129.2, which was the fourth-highest in team history. In addition, the line blocked for running back Tevin Lake, who finished his career as the NAIA's fifth-ranked all-time rusher and fifth all-time scorer. The 1,974 rushing yards in 2014 was the program's third-highest total and its 28 rushing touchdowns was the team's second-highest in a single season.
  • Coad coached offensive lineman Zach Mitchell to AFCA-NAIA All-America First Team honors, All-MSFA Mideast League First Team honors and had Kody Woods and Zach Graves each voted onto the All-MSFA Mideast League Second Team.

Under his tutelage on the defensive line through three seasons at his alma mater, Coad’s defensive lines were awarded: seven All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors, four all-region awards and six All-America awards; including the 2009 d3football.com National Defensive Player of the Year who amassed 16.5 sacks through the season.
