Jay Townsend serves as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Marian men's basketball program. A graduate of Zionsville High School and Indiana University, Townsend is more than familiar with the Indiana basketball scene.

In his role, Townsend is responsible for film breakdown, game planning, recruiting, scheduling, team travel, analytics and workouts.

Prior to Marian, Townsend worked as senior financial analyst at Eli Lilly & Company supporting Research & Drug Development. This past summer, Jay was a coordinator at Purdue and Gonzaga youth basketball camps. Townsend currently serves as a board member at the Concord Neighborhood Center
