BIO

  • Riley Anderson is in her fourth season overall and first season as the Interim Head coach for Marian volleyball after being hired in July 2019.
  • Was named the Interim Head Coach on June 29, 2022. 
  • Anderson helped the Knights in 2021 to a 35-3 record, winning the Crossroads League Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
  • Anderson was named the Crossroads League and AVCA Mid-Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021. The talented assistant was later named the NAIA/AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021.
  • Anderson helped lead Marian to a 38-2 record under head coach Ashlee Pritchard, ending the season as the 2019 NAIA National Champion. 
     
  • During the season, filled in as the acting head coach while Coach Pritchard was away on maternity leave. In those matches, she guided Marian to a perfect 16-0 record, including a win over No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan. 
     
  • A 2017 graduate of Anderson University, Anderson has already built an impressive resume as a coach. As the head coach at Fairfield High School, she led the Falcons to a 23-8 record in her lone season. She has also spent two seasons coaching the Alexandria Winter Volleyball Club and one year as the NIVA Volleyball Club head coach.
     
  • While at Anderson University, Anderson served as three-year team captain and was a two-time team MVP under head coach Tami Miller. She graduated in 2017 with a degree in accounting. In high school, Anderson excelled at Fairfield under head coach Carla Herschberger. She was named a team MVP and was a member of four sectional championships, three regional championships, two final fours and a state runner-up finish.
     
  • She and her husband Brett, a member of the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine, reside in Lebanon, Indiana. Riley and Brett welcomed their first child, Miller, in the fall of 2021.
