BIO

Assistant Coach Lakan Hasser-Smith enters the 2018-19 year as her third season as an assistant coach.

Hasser-Smith was one of the most prolific women's basketball players in Marian history, setting multiple scoring records, most notably being the career scoring record, placing the bar at 2000 points.

Member of the first national championship team in 2015-16.

Coach Katie Gearlds on Lakan Hasser-Smith: "Lakan was a stud player to coach, and as a staff we are thankful we had that opportunity. And now, we are even more blessed to have her on our staff. She knows the ins and outs at Marian and obviously knows what it takes to be successful on and off the court. She's a winner."
