Sophia Lipka comes to Marian as an assistant coach working with the Knights' goalkeepers. She is a 2020 graduate from IUPUI, where she was a four-year member of the women's soccer team. In her collegiate playing career, Lipka appeared in 61 matches making 54 starts, logging over 5000 minutes of action on the field. Lipka was a team captain of the Jaguars for three seasons, and ended her career as one of the most decorated keepers in IUPUI history, ranking first all-time in goals against average (1.08) and was tied for the career lead in shutouts with 21. At the time of graduation, Lipka ranked second in wins, save-percentage, winning-percentage, and minutes played. 

Lipka earned multiple Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week honors in her career with the Jaguars, and in her sophomore season Lipka earned the Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year, while also being named the MVP of the Horizon League Tournament.
