SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Marian cross country team headed north to compete in the Bethel Invite at St. Patrick's County Park. The men's team sent 10 runners, while the women had five Knights competing in the race.
Robert Lohman and
Lucas Steward were the top two finishers for Marian, finishing in 33rd and 54th. Lohman toed the line in a time of 26:40.71 and Steward clocked in at 27:11.5.
Alex Mundt was next up for the Knights with his 27:49.8 time, before
Mitchell Hayward turned in a time of 28:14.4 and
Drew Holok finished the race in 28:18.4. Clocking in at 28:34 was
Everett Carlisle, while
Alex Cuevas was not far behind with his 28:50.3 finish.
Kenneth Hammell,
Alex Chavarria, and
Jose Sanchez were the final three finishers for the Knights, clocking in times of 29:04.41, 29:44.2, and 30:21.6, respectively.
On the women's side, the Knights ran the 5K race with
Lainey Roth leading the pack. Roth clocked a time of 20:26.7 to finish 41st, while
Katie Woods was next in 57th with her 21:06.5 time.
Emma Beimfohr and
Sabrina Siems finished seconds apart from each other, with Beimfohr posting a time of 21:29.3 and Siems running a time of 21:35.10. Kiley Breedon rounded out the Marian lineup, finishing the race in a time of 23:10.1.
