INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian softball team has announced the second member of their 2025 signing class, as head coach Scott Fleming announced the signing of McCutcheon High School product Mallorie Beutel.

The Lafayette-based Mallorie Beutel had a stellar season for her Maverick softball program as a junior, batting .426 while hitting five home runs. Beutel, a third baseman by trade, drove in 23 runs in her junior season and carried a fielding percentage of .920. Beutel has been honored by her softball program with mental attitude and sportsmanship awards throughout her playing career, and is a three-time First Team All-Conference and All-Area Team member. Beutel is a mamber of the McCutcheon National Honor Society, and is an IHSAA Leadership Representative. 

At Marian University, Mallorie Beutel plans to earn a degree in exercise science.
