Box Score West Palm Beach, Fla. - The Marian women's lacrosse team suffered a tough loss in their last spring break game falling 16-10 to Keiser University. The Knights are now 2-3 overall following the ranked loss. 

The Knights got a slow start in the game with Abbey Cannon from Keiser shooting a free position shot gaining the first goal of the game allowing the Seahawks to take the early lead. Katie Murphy shot back scoring a goal for Marian at the 11:19 mark bringing the game to a tie. Ashlynn Gray and Katelynn Gray got their hands in the mix scoring consecutive goals for the Knights to allow Marian to gain the lead. With 22 seconds left Keiser shot back and fired a goal to bring the game to 3-2 in favor of the Knights at the end of the first period.

The Seahawks brought the heat into the second period by shooting a free position shot to bring the score back to a tie. Keiser continued to push at the lead with another goal to control the lead. The Knights and the Seahawks battled it out with Gray and Keiser's Chole Foley scoring back-to-back goals at the halfway mark of the period to bring the score to 5-4 in favor of the Seahawks. Keiser continued to increase their lead with two goals scored before the one minute remaining mark in the period. The Knights continued to decrease the Seahawks lead with Ruby Mason scoring a goal with 22 seconds left bringing the score to 7-5 in favor of Keiser at the half.

Starting off the third period the Seahawks continued to increase their lead over the Knights with three goals to bring the game to a 5 goal difference. With one minute remaining Keiser scored another goal out of their timeout. Mason got her chance once again and scored another goal for the Knights to bring the difference back within five to bring the score 6-11 in favor of Keiser at the end of the period.

The Knights took charge at the start of the fourth period with Ella Grace Giedd scoring her first goal of the afternoon to push at the Seahawks lead. Marian and Keiser traded goals back and fourth with Emily McCall for the Seahawks making the first goal and Gray making the second goal for the Knights to bring the score 8-12 in favor of Keiser. Murphy continued to decrease the Seahawks lead by scoring a goal for the Knights. The Seahawks had no sings of stopping by shooting a free position shot and gaining a 2-point goal over the Knights to increase their lead back to five. Mason continued to chip at the Seahawks lead with another goal to bring the score 10-14. Keiser finished off the game with two more goals with one being a free position shot to bring the final score 10-16.

Mason and Ashlynn Gray led the team in goals both with three a piece. Giedd had one goal for the Knights and lead the team in assists with three. 

Alex Dean and both Gray's led the team defensively, with Dean recovering three ground balls, and both Ashlynn and Katelynn Gray led the team in draw controls with five each. In goal, Katherine Hirsch had eight saves for the day. 

The Knights are back in action on Monday, March 11th at home in the conference opener against Concordia University (Mich.) with the first draw set at 3:00 p.m.
